Pet Wellness Exam

What Do Wellness Visits Include?

We include several services during these checkups, such as the following:

●             Physical exam

●             Dog vaccination or cat vaccination

●             Parasite control

●             Lab work or tests as needed

The physical exam lets us check for problems with visible signs, such as ear issues. We also listen to your pet’s heart and lungs.

For vaccines, we update them as needed. If your pet needs any for boarding, we can administer these during this visit.

Fleas, ticks, heartworm, and other external and internal parasites can make your pets very sick. We look for signs of these infestations during a cat or dog exam— and provide care as needed.

Why Does My Pet Need a Dog Exam or Cat Exam?

Pets might seem ok, even if they’re ill or injured. Some pets develop conditions that are hard to detect or don’t show signs for years. Wellness visits give us a chance to look or test for these issues. We can address them as needed to keep your pet healthy!

Wellness visits also help you know if your pet needs a dog or cat vaccination update for their safety. And during a dog or cat exam for puppies or kittens, we can check their growth and development.

When Does My Pet Need a Wellness Visit?

That really depends on their age or other factors, like whether they have any medical conditions. Generally, we recommend:

●             Annual visits for adult pets who aren’t seniors

●             Frequent visits during the first year for puppies and kittens

●             Twice a year visits for senior pets
